Robinhood Chain · 4663 · Zoltan
Robinhood launched a blockchain. Most of what has been written about it is either a press release or a thread. This is the plain version: what it is, what it costs, what you actually need, and what it isn't — measured against the live chain, not repeated from a brochure.
Five things · that's the whole thing
01
An Ethereum layer 2 built by Robinhood. It behaves like Ethereum, costs almost nothing to use, and pays its fees in ETH.
Technically: Arbitrum Orbit, settling to Ethereum, ~100ms blocks. Chain ID 4663.
02
Deployment is permissionless. You do not need Robinhood's approval, an application, or a relationship with them to put a contract on it.
This surprises people. It shouldn't — it's a public chain.
03
Launching a full NFT contract costs about 23 cents. Each mint is around a penny.
The same thing on Ethereum itself would be four figures. That is the entire reason this chain is interesting.
04
A standard NFT here shows up on OpenSea automatically — web and mobile. No integration, no submission, no waiting.
You don't have to build a marketplace. That's the hard part, and it's already done.
05
Your ETH has to physically be on chain 4663. ETH sitting on Ethereum or Base cannot pay for anything here — you bridge it over first, which takes about ten minutes.
Bringing it back out takes seven days. Plan around that, not into it.
Read from the chain by your browser, right now
Nothing here is quoted from an announcement. The page asks the chain's public RPC directly and does the arithmetic in front of you. If those read “…”, the public endpoint is rate-limiting — the costs are still accurate, and the working is shown in the guide.
Zoltan
Zoltan is a cult leader in a silver jumpsuit standing in front of a wall of green CRTs, and he has read the gas table. The look is 1990s hacker-cult — chrome, phosphor, basement neon, total conviction about something faintly ridiculous.
It is played completely straight, because the joke only works if the belief is real. The conviction happens to be well founded: everything Zoltan promises on this site is a number that was measured, and every number shows its working.

Updated as it moves
DoneThe research. Costs measured against the live chain, distribution confirmed, funding route understood — all of it written up in the guide.
DoneThe identity and the art, plus a reusable token layer so anything built next inherits the look.
Not yetThe collection itself. Piece count, traits and mint model are not finalised, the contract is not written, and nothing has been minted. No date is being promised, because none has been set.
Nothing on this site is a sale, a presale, or an allowlist. There is nothing to buy and nowhere to send money. Anyone telling you otherwise about this project is not us. When that changes, it changes here first.
